This month, Apple has launched its two products, one is Smart Battery Case and another one is Lightning to SD Card Camera Reader, which has recently rolled-out. The main highlight of this new adapter is its transfer speed, which allows you to take photos off your camera’s SD card and copy them across to an iPhone, iPad and iPad Pro. It is priced at $ 29.99 (around INR 1,980).
If you are using the iPad Pro, it will offers USB 3.0 transfer speed and for any other lightning equipped iOS device, it will renders USB 2.0. It seems to be the only iOS device from Apple that provide this functionality. This new accessory could make the iPad Pro a more attractive device for any photographers looking to transfer large quantities of RAW files.
According to the product description, “The Lightning to SD Card Camera Reader supports standard photo formats, including JPEG and Raw, along with SD and HD video formats, including H.264 and MPEG-4. It supports data transfer at up to USB 3 speeds on iPad Pro, and up to USB 2 speeds on all other iPad and iPhone models”.
Whether it's iPhone 5, iPhone 5c or iPhone 6s Plus, this new apple accessory is compatible with all of them. Also the Apple iOS 9.2, which is the latest software update for its mobile operating system, provides support for the iPhone models to use Lightning to SD card and USB adapters.
