Archos 55 Helium Plus: The Bigger Sibling of 50 Helium Plus

Today, we gave a lowdown on the new creation of Archos, called 50 Helium Plus which has taken nativity to vie with currently present smartphones of budget category. And now, it's time to talk about yet another weapon of this France based Multinational Corporation i.e. 55 Helium Plus handset that has seen light of the day along with aforementioned device.

Notably, smartphone is basically a larger variant of 50 Helium Plus that features a 5.5-inch IPS display. This newly-launched phablet offers same pixel resolution of 1280x720p as its market companion, but it produces a lesser pixel density of 267ppi. The gadget is power packed with a 2400mAh battery, but its lifespan has not been specified yet.

Archos 55 Helium Plus/ 55 Helium+ is engineered with a Quad Core MediaTek MT6735P SoC clocked at 1GHz and assimilates Mali T720 GPU to handle the graphics. In terms of memory, phone has 1GB RAM, 8GB ROM, and official website of company suggests that buyers will get a freebie i.e a 16GB MicroSD card.

Paired with dual SIM card slots, handset is decked with 4G LTE option to provide faster internet connectivity and incorporates Android 5.1 Lollipop OS that is well-known for user-friendly interface and advanced battery life management. In front of camera, gadget is armed with a 13-megapixel autofocus main shooter with LED Flash alongside a 5-megapixel selfie snapper.

As per Archos, 55 Helium Plus will hit the shelves of retail stores in July 2015 along with its smaller fellow and it will carry a price tag of $139 that is approximately Rs. 8,870. Moreover, folks will be able to choose between two color models: White and Black.
