The domestic mobile manufacturer Celkon has come-out with a new handset which is not an ordinary one, but behaves like a universal remote. The Celkon Campus A35K is the smartphone which is available at Rs. 3,199 through offline and online stores across India. Company is also offering a 16GB of microSD card as a promotional offer.
The prime feature of this device is its built-in IR blaster which acts like a universal remote for all consumer products in home. For example, you can contol TV and AC as well as DVD, DVR Player, and set-top box from the same device. It comes preloaded with an app, named Peel Smart Remote which works to make your phone like a remote for all your home appliances.
Move to the specification of this Celkon handset where it’s almost identical with last year’s Campus A35K. The new Celkon Campus A35K Remote flaunts the same 3.5-inch display with 320x480 pixels screen resolution. It runs on Android 4.4 KitKat OS and takes the power from 1GHz processor, no word on the chipset. Well, it is disappointingly comes equipped with 256MB of RAM.
On imaging front, the handset bears a 3.2-megapixel rear camera which is not so good, but can go well for a budget handset with LED Flash. A 0.3-megapixel front shotter is also there to lure selfie addicts. Campus A35K Remote on storage front provides 512MP inbuilt memory which can be extended upto 32GB using microSD card.
Wi-Fi, 3G, Bluetooth, Micro-USB, and A-GPS are some connectivity features which have been provided by the manufacturer in this handset. It is fueled by a 1400mAh battery which promises long hours of talk-time.
