Coolpad, the Chinese Chinese smartphone manufacturer has added a new smartphone in its M- series, called with Coolpad M3, in the home country, China. The key highlights of Coolpad M3 include dual rear sensors, display notch, face unlock and more. To recall, Coolpad Note 8 was launched in India in October 2018 at price tag of Rs 9,999.
The Coolpad M3 comes with a price tag of CNY 799 which roughly converts into Rs 8,100. It will go on sale from November 28 at 10 AM CST. The pre-bookings of the device have commenced at popular Jingdong Mall e-commerce website.
The Coolpad M3 has a 5.85-inch HD LCD display which offers 19:9 aspect ratio, a screen resolution of 1512 x 720 pixels. The smartphone comes with a notch on the top of the display. The back panel has been created with a glass design which throwback different color shades such as blue/black from different angles.

Under the hood, the budget segment Coolpad M3 is powered by a MediaTek MT6750 chipset clocked at 1.8GHz coupled with 4GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage. It packs a 2,800mAh battery bundled with a standard 5V/2A charger. From the software front, the M3 from Coolpad runs on Android 8.1 Oreo.
In terms of lens, the Coolpad M3 comes with dual rear sensors consisting of a 13MP primary sensor and a 5MP depth secondary sensor, though an LED flash has been placed between the rear camera set up. Up front, there is a 5MP sensor for selfies and video calling. The company has offered the Coolpad M3 in two color options including Gentleman’s Enamel (Black) and Blue Sea.
For the security purpose, the smartphone gets a fingerprint scanner which is positioned on the rear panel. Apart from the fingerprint scanner, the Coolpad M3 also has AI-based facial unlock recognition feature.
The connectivity options on the Coolpad M3 include 4G LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, micro USB and a headphone jack. As of now, the Coolpad has not revealed when it would unveil M3 in other markets outside China.
