Coolpad Mega 5A Launched in India With Price Tag of Rs. 6,999


Coolpad, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer is famous for offering affordable smartphones with latest features, advanced hardware and latest operating system. Coolpad has silently launched new smartphone, called with Mega 5A which will be available for purchase exclusively at offline stores across India. The Coolpad Mega 5A is a successor of previously launched Mega 4A that was unveiled in India in April this year. Some of the impressive highlights of the Mega 5A from Coolpad consists Android 8.1 Oreo, 18:9 aspect ratio, a vertically positioned dual rear cameras and metallic design.

Coolpad Mega 5A Price

The Coolpad Mega 5A is retailing at Rs. 6,999 which has been equipped with 2GB RAM and 16GB inbuilt storage variant. It is available only in Gold colour option. It is available in eight markets namely Andhra Pradesh, Delhi NCR, Haryana, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, and Uttar Pradesh. Interested users can purchase the smartphone from 16th August (today itself) from offline retail stores or authorized Coolpad stores.

Coolpad Mega 5A Specifications

The Coolpad Mega 5A boasts a 5.47-inch IPS InCell display with screen resolution of 720x1440 pixels and 18:9 aspect ratio. It runs on top of the line Android 8.1 Oreo In terms of hardware, the smartphone comes with quad-core Spreadtrum SC9850K SoC clocked at 1.3GHz, integrated with 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage with an option to extend further up to 128GB.

In terms of photography, the Coolpad Mega 5A comes with vertically positioned dual rear cameras consisting of 8-megapixel primary sensor and 0.3-megapixel VGA secondary sensor offering an aperture of f/2.0, LED flash and PDAF. Up front, the smartphone has a 5-megapixel selfie camera along with flash. The smartphone has a battery back up of 2,500mAh.

The budget segment Coolpad Mega 5A has 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, FM radio, Micro-USB, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The smartphone is equipped with fingerprint sensor, accelerometer, proximity sensor and ambient light sensor. It also comes with face unlock technology. The dimensions of the smartphone are 148x70.7x8.9mm and weigh 148 grams.
