Gionee, the Chinese smartphone vendor, has officially announced the launch of its latest mid range smartphone S6 Pro in China. The phone is already available for sale from Gionee's own official website and other online retail outlets in China. The company, so far, has not disclosed any availability plans of the handset outside China. So there is no way to know whether the device will be exclusively available in China or Gionee has any plans to launch it internationally.
S6 Pro is priced at Rs. 20,000 (CNY 1,999) and comes in Rose, Gold, Silver And Gold Color variant. The Smartphone flaunts a metal body and also incorporates a fingerprint sensor on the Home button, which claims to unlock the smartphone in just 0.1 seconds. It also comes with USB Type-C charging slot.
Taking a look at the Tech-spec of the phone, S6 Pro features a 5.5-inch IPS display panel that comes with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The device is powered by a MediaTek Helio P10 (MT6755M) SoC that has an integrated 64-bit octa-core CPU clocked at a frequency of 1.8 GHz coupled with 4GB of RAM.
For the storage, the phone bears a 64GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded upto 128GB via microSD card slot expansion. On the software front, the GSM based handset S6 Pro runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system topped with Gionee's Amigo OS.
Coming to the imaging credentials of the phone, Gionee S6 Pro sports a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and PDAF and a 8MP selfie shooter. It is featuring some modes such as night mode, panorama mode, burst mode, and more. Full-HD resolution video recording is also included. Connectivity options include 3G,4G, LTE, GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth. It is backed by a 3,130 mAh battery.
