Gionee, the Chinese tech giant is planning to launch several smartphones at the launch event which is to be scheduled on 26th April in India. The company has already sent the invites to press media for the launch event, reads, "With an endeavor to ignite the youthful mind, we cordially invite you to join us to explore and experience a whole new world of Gionee Smartphones - Bigger, Wider and Better." The invites do not reveal the detailed information regarding the upcoming smartphones, but it shows that the new smartphones will come with a Full View Display and likely to feature a Face Unlock.
Gionee has posted the official teaser on the Twitter which suggest that the Chinese company is going to launch more than two smartphones in India on 26th April. The teaser image is showcasing the corners of the smartphone which indicating that the smartphone will feature a FullView Display along with 18:9 aspect ratio display.
According to the reports, it seems that upcoming Gionee smartphones will be priced at between Rs 9000 to Rs 15,000. The industry sources stated that interested users can purchase the smartphones via offline channel partners in the beginning. As of now, it is not confirmed that whether the upcoming smartphones will be available for purchase via e-commerce platforms or not later.

David Chang, Global Sales Director, Gionee India Said that, “We are equally excited about our presence in the Indian market and would like to assure all Gionee lovers that the brand is here to stay.”We are in the process of restructuring our India team and executing a completely different business model for the brand in the market very soon.”
Gionee, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer company had established its business operation in India in 2012. The Counterpoint Research revealed that the company was accountable for 2.2 percent share in the Indian smartphone market for FY 2017. The company claims that it has nearly 42,000 stores and 600 service centers throughout 2200 cities in India.
To recall, Gionee S10 Lite was launched in the previous year in December. The Gionee S10 Lite is said to feature a 5.20-inch display, 3100 mAh battery and runs on Android 7.1 Nougat- out- of the box. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 427 processor, clocked at 1.4GHz, paired with 4GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage that can be further extended up to 256GB by using the memory card. The Gionee S10 Lite packs a 13 MP rear camera along and 16 MP front-facing camera.
