With the earlier speculations, Gionee has unveiled Elife S6 as the portfolio device to feature high specs at a price range of Rs. 17,500 (CNY 1,699). The device has been launched in China and priced with the Chinese price tag. As scheduled, the device took place on Monday. It is available for booking on company website and will be shipped from November 22.
The device features 5.5-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) resolution Amoled display. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS topped with Amigo 3.1 OS. It grabs its power from a 64-bit octa-core MediaTek MT67538 processor clocked at 1.3GHz, clubbed with 3GB of RAM and Mali-T720 GPU. Under the hoods, it has an in-built storage of 32GB which is expandable to 128GB via microSD card.
The dual-SIM (Micro+Nano) SIM support features second SIM as the dual functional port that sports MicroSD card slot too. The metal clad device measures 151.9x74.6x6.9mm and weighs 147 grams. It is backed by a 3150mAh battery, which is rated to deliver up to 18.8 hours of talk-time and 342 hours of standby time. The connectivity options to explore include Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, GPS, 4G LTE (including Band 40), USB OTG and USB Type-C connectivity.
On the snapper’s side, the smartphone carries 13MP rear camera with autofocus center. It has 5MP front shooter. The camera can record full-HD resolution video. It features mode such as night mode, panorama mode, burst mode, magic focus and more.
The smartphone is further compared with Acer liquid Z630s. the company has also launched F103 last week with its two variants to feature all the three RAM models as 1GB, 2GB and 3GB supportability.
