Google to hitch Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P on October 13 India event

Google has finally confirmed the date of the grand launch of its Nexus series smartphone. The smartphones were lined up for months but now its the right time to unveil the great Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P in front of the Indian market to get a place. The flagship series smartphones were rumored several times to get a place, but now the company has confirmed the agenda. It has announced to launch the device on October 13 and has sent the invites for the event that will take place in Delhi (India).

Google’s Vice President and MD for India and South East Asia, Rajan Anandan, will also be present at the event, as reported by the chatter online. Google is permitting its devices to launch before hand new iPhones. The company has decided to unveil the devices to introduce Huawei based Nexus 6P and LG based Nexus 5X in India, before the launch of new iPhones that are arriving on October 16.

The specifications are listed along with their prices on the Google Play Store. The Play Store listing is accordingly made to highlight the prices as, the Nexus 5X will be priced at Rs 31,900 (for 16GB variant) and Rs 35,900 (32GB), while Nexus 6P will be available at Rs 39,999 (32GB) and Rs 42,999 (64GB). Both the smartphones carries two variants each. It is also made clear that the Huawei based smartphone is higher ranging than the LG based set.

The Nexus 5X features 5.2-inch screen, octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor clocked at the rate of 2GHz, 3GB RAM, 12.3 MP rear and 5MP front camera and a 2,700 mAh battery. While, considering the features of Nexus 6P, the handset portrays 5.7-inch screen, hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor clocked at the rate of 1.8GHz, 2GB RAM, 12.3 MP rear and 8MP front camera and a 3,450 mAh battery. Both the devices feature a smart fingerprint scanner and a fast charging technology including USB Type-C port.
