Nokia and HMD Global have launched a budget Android mobile in India dubbed as Nokia 2, which comes with the 2-day battery life and has a 4100mAh battery. Nokia 2 has been made up of polycarbonate and features a 6000 Series Aluminium frame. HMD Global, at the launch event, stated that the Nokia 2 has a 5-inch HD LTPS display, which is best-in-class with a 1:1300 contrast ratio, and complete with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.
However, HMD Global has yet not announced the retail price, but, may come with a price tag of around Rs. 7,500. This Nokia 2 mobile will be available in India from mid-November, in three color variants – Pewter Black with black face and frame, Pewter White with the white face, black frame, and Copper, with the black face, black back, and copper frame.

The Nokia 2 is a dual-SIM supporting device that operates on Android 7.1.1 Nougat and has been powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 212 SoC (quad-core, clocked up to 1.2GHz) coupled with 1GB of LPDDR3 RAM. It comes with a 5-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) LTPS In-Cell Touch display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. On the optics front, the device has an 8-megapixel rear autofocus camera with LED flash, and a 5-megapixel front fixed focus camera for selfies and video calls.
The Nokia 2 has been incorporated with a 8GB of inbuilt storage, which is further expandable up to 128GB via microSD card in a hybrid dual-SIM configuration. The connectivity options included in it are 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.1, GPS/ A-GPS, FM radio with RDS, Micro-USB, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Top smartphone sensors in Nokia 2 are the accelerometer, ambient light sensor, digital compass, and proximity sensor.
