Red variant of Honor 8X Goes on Sale

Honor 8X which was launched on October 16, 2018 has launched the red variant of Honor 8X smartphone and will go on sale on November 28, 2018 exclusively on Amazon India. The Honor 8X costs Rs 14,999 in India and is now available on Amazon India and the company’s Honor India e-store. The red variant will contain the colour option- Midnight Black and Navy Blue. On November 20, 2018, the Honor 8X red variant was first teased on the Honor e-store via a promotional sale for Re 1. 

After launching in the China market, the Honor 8X now made its way to the Indian market. The Honor 8X has been launched by Huawei at mega- event conducted in New Delhi on 16th October in India.

To recall, Huawei had launched, the Honor 8X and Honor 8X Max in China on 5th September 2018.

Amazon.in has developed a microsite for the Honor 8X under which the e-commerce giant has mentioned the highlighting features of the device including display screen, battery, RAM and storage configuration.

Honor 8X Price in India

The Honor 8X comes with a price tag of Rs 14,999, for base variant 4GB RAM/64 GB ROM, while the middle variant of 6GB /64GB ROM has been priced at Rs 16,999. Last but not least, the 6GB RAM/128GB costs Rs 18,999.

Honor 8X Specifications

The Honor 8X boasts a 6.5-inch screen display along with 19.5:9 aspect ratio which offers a better cinematic experience and provides enhanced clarity for watching videos and movies.

The smartphone has a notch on the top of the display which house front camera, proximity sensor and earpiece. The phone looks premium in terms of appearance and features a thin- bezels around the corners.

The smartphone offers 1080x2340 pixels resolution and 91 percent screen to body ratio. From the software front, the Honor 8X runs on Android Oreo Operating System (OS) layered with EMUI 8.2.

The smartphone features a glass back panel which protected with 2.5 D glass screen. It has been created with double- textured design by offering three different colors Red, blue and black.

Under the hood, the Honor 8X is powered by the company’s owned latest HiSilicon Kirin 710 processor coupled with Mali G51 GPU. In India, it has been launched in three variants including 4GB RAM+64GB ROM, 6GB RAM+64GB ROM and 6GB RAM+128GB ROM.

Storage can be extended up to 400GB by using a dedicated microSD card. The smartphone comes with a triple card slot in which the users can place two SIMs (Nano) and one microSD card.

For photography, the Honor 8X packs dual 20MP+2MP cameras on the rear panel. The rear camera set up comes with several AI-powered features like Selfie Portrait Mode, Super Night Shot, Super- Slow Motion and more.

The company claims that AI Multi Scene Recognition has the capacity to identify 22 different categories of objects and 500 different scenarios in real time. Up front, the smartphone gets a 16MP camera for selfies and video calling with an aperture of f/2.0 and fixed focus.

The smartphone comes with face unlock feature instead of physical one which unlocks the smartphone in few seconds The Honor 8X has a battery back up of 3750 mAh bundled with 5V/2A (10W) charging and a power saving battery features.

The Honor 8X supports Dual 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac (2.4GHz and 5GHz), Bluetooth v4.2 LE with aptX support, GPS/ A-GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, a micro-USB port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
