Few of us are familiar with the name of Jolla Sailfish OS and few of us have not even hear the name. Jolla, a company founded by couple of former Nokia employees developed its own OS and named it Sailfish, which can be called as reincarnation of MeeGo OS. Now the company will soon come in India with its smartphone which will be based on Sailfish platform.
Jolla will release its first smartphone in India to step the feet in World’s one of the growing smartphone markets. Company has tweeted on its official twitter account, "Jolla smartphone coming to India very soon, exclusively on Snapdeal. Be the first to know." The above tweet is perfectly describing that the phone will be sold exclusively via Snapdeal.
As we all know about Windows, Android, iOS but there are some more alternative OS in the line also which have the capability of adding more power to smartphones.
On the other side, company’s official website is showing the tagline, "Jolla sails to India," The Jolla smartphone will run on Sailfish OS. Company has plans to launch its devices in Hong King, India, and Russia. Recently its phones are providing its services via local carrier DNA's shops in Finland. European market is also enjoying the Jolla smartphones at EUR 399.
Company had unveiled its smartphone last year which has 4.5-inch Estrade display, offering screen resolution of 540x960 pixels. It is blessed with 1.4GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and comes crafted with 1GB of RAM. There is an 8-megapixel autofocus camera on the rear side with LED Flash and houses a 2-megapixel front-facing camera also.
Going more inside specification list, it comes integrated with16GB of inbuilt storage and microSD card slot. Its 2100mAh battery is powerful one to provide great battery backup.
