Lava, an Indian origin smartphone manufacturer is going abroad for marketing its handsets. The chosen place is Egypt, a Middle East Country. The official news has been all around and both the heads naming Hari Om Rai, Chairman and Managing Director of Lava and Asser Salama, Chairman, Easy Group talking about the same rumor comes true.
From the Lava, the official head Hari Om Rai said, “In an emerging smartphone market like India, you can't control the competition be it from China or elsewhere, but you can build devices that are affordable and par excellence which will speak for themselves.”
On the same tie-up topic, Asser Salama, Chairman, Easy Group told in New Delhi, “The MoU is aimed at enhancing productivity, reducing costs and accelerating mobile phone adoption in the market by delivering new and better products to Egyptian citizens,"
The headquarter will be set up in Cairo for all the business operations, which will create a decent amount of employment. Around 2,000 direct and 5,000 indirect employment opportunities in coming six months while next 5 years will be giving around 10,000 employment opportunities.
Lava is continuous in its strategies and has been racking up investments to cater the needs, as of now an overall investment of Rs. 2,615 crores have been done while the targetted aim is for around production capacity of 216 million units per year in next five to eight years.
