Intex Unveils New Smartphone Intex Aqua Air II at INR 4,690

Just last week Indian handset maker Intex launched Cloud 4G Smart and taking one step forward Intex has officially launched a new entry-level smartphone dubbed the Intex Aqua Air II priced at INR 4,690. As of now the handset is only available on the company's official website, but it is expected to mark its entry in the market soon in a Grey color variant.

Intex Cloud 4G Smart original price was quoted to be INR 4,999 and it featured 4G support, which definitely is not a bad deal to bargain for at this price. The handset was sold in large numbers through a sale exclusively made on e-commerce website Flipkart. It is a dual-SIM variant that runs on Android Lollipop v5.1 OS and is powered by a 2000mAh removable battery. It measures 144.40 x 73.20 x 9.75 and carries a weight of 156.00 grams.

The Android smartphone also features a 5-inch FWVGA TFT display and is powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. Its internal storage capacity is of 8GB that can be expanded up to 32GB via MicroSD card.

The new smartphone Aqua Air II is again a dual-SIM variant but runs on Android 4.4 KitKat OS out-of-the-box. It features a 5-inch FWVGA (480x854 pixels) TFT display and also sports Corning Gorilla Glass for protection from scratches. It comes with a 1GB of RAM and is powered by a dual-core MediaTek MT6572W processor clocked at 1.2GHz.

It measures 145.5x72.8x9.9mm and weighs around 154 grams and sports a 2-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera. On the memory capacity, it bears a resemblance to the previously launched Cloud 4G smartphone, as the new handset also bears 8GB of inbuilt storage, which can be easily expanded up to 32GB using an external MicroSD card.

Additionally, the new Intex Aqua Air II possess different connectivity features inclusive of 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Micro-USB, and GPS. It is powered by a 2300mAh battery which as per company claims can deliver up to 4 hours of talk time on 3G network, and up to 6 hours of talk time on 2G network. Only time will tell how many claims are actually true.
