Telecom operator, Reliance will soon start the second phase of booking of its much hyped JioPhone after Diwali. The company successfully delivered mobile phones to customers in its first phase. According to the sources, nearly six million people booked the Jio phone in the month of August. Users who had booked the phone in the month of August but yet have not received the delivery, report claims that first phase deliveries of the Jio Phone in metro cities will be started from Saturday and anticipated that to be completed by Diwali i.e., 19th October.
According to a Reliance Retail Channel partner, "The second phase of JioPhone booking will start after Diwali. Likely from October-end or November first week.”
Previously, about 6 million units of Jio Phones were booked by the people in just three days when the bookings of the 4G featured Jiophone was opened by the Reliance on 24th August.
Mukesh Ambani, Chairman and Managing Director of Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) announced that the Jio 4G phone will be "effectively free" for the people, but to avoid misuse of the scheme Jio Phone users will be required to pay refundable security amount i.e., Rs 1,500.

The whole amount of money will be returned to the buyer after the completion of 3 years. Reliance further providing some relaxation to the Jio phone users under the refund scheme.
Under the new refund scheme, decided by the Reliance, if the Jio buyers return the phones in the first year they will get the refund amount of Rs 500, minimum Rs 1500 recharge is a must during the year. Similarly, in the second year, the Jio user will get a refundable amount of Rs 1,000 and in the third year, the customer will get the entire refundable amount of Rs, 1,500.
Three plans declared by Reliance Industries for JioPhone buyers – it includes Rs 53 weekly plan, Rs 23 two -day plan and Rs 153 plan which will be offering unlimited talk time, unlimited SMS and unlimited data.
First phase deliveries of Jio Phone started from Navratri in small towns. According to the channel partner, “ The shipments started in metro cities from Saturday. The target is to complete all shipments around Diwali. “
