Soon after launching a camera-centric smartphone: Icon, Lava has made yet another foray against currently present budget handsets in India by introducing its new mobile phone, called Iris X1 Atom. However, this homegrown mobile maker is yet to announce its novel creation as well as device has not been listed on official website till now, but a report of Fonearena has suggested that phone will go on sale at just Rs. 4,444.
According to report, gadget features a 4-inch touch screen display with a pixel resolution of 800 × 480p. Inclusion of a quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz has been claimed by informant, but its chipset is yet-unknown. The brand-new member of Iris X1 family runs on mobile operating system of Google: Android 4.4 KitKat, which can be updated to latest Android 5.0 Lollipop OS.
Coming to memory front, Iris X1 Atom is arrayed with 512MB RAM and comprises 4GB of internal storage that can be expanded upto 32GB by using a microSD card. In terms of imaging, handset is paired with 5-megapixel ear camera with LED flash alongside a 0.3-megapixel (VGA) front snapper.
This dual SIM supported mobile offers 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, Bluetooth v2.1 and a micro-USB options on connectivity front. It is fueled by a 1750mAh battery, but details about its lifespan is yet-to-be disclosed. Moreover, prospective buyers will be able to choose among three color models of Lava Iris X1 Atom: Silver, Black Silver and Black gold.
Well, details about the availability have not been mentioned in report, so purchasers will have to wait for a while to get their hands on smartphone. The phone is likely to go against Intex Aqua Y2+, Microsoft Lumia 435 and Xiaomi Redmi 1S.
