Indian based smartphone company Lava Mobiles has now launched the Lava P7+ smartphone in India, priced at Rs 5,649. One must recall that Lava launched Lava P7 in January and priced it at Rs 5,499. The company has not yet listed information on the availability of the product, but it surely has listed the phone on its official website.
In terms of specifications, the Lava P7+ Android smartphone runs on Android v6.0 Marshmallow OS while its previous sibling operated on Android Lollipop. Additionally, the Dual-SIM smartphone comes with 3G facility and supports dual standby.
The P7+ further sports a 5-inch HD IPS display giving a resolution of 720x1280 pixels, but unlike Lava P7, it does not feature any Gorilla Glass protection on its display. To compensate for the absence of Gorilla Glass, the company has given P7+ a 2.5D curved glass display, which is a better choice and definitely an improvement from the P7's FWVGA normal display. Under the hood, the GSM-handset is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor with 1GB of RAM. The device also provides a built-in storage capacity of 8GB which is expandable up to 64GB via external microSD card.
On the camera front, the device sports an 8-megapixel rear camera coupled with a 5-megapixel front camera. Both cameras feature LED flash modules for photography in low-light conditions. Lava P7+ also offers an 84-degree wide angle lens on the front camera that is wide enough to click a 'Groupfie' or a selfie with more people in a single frame. Nonetheless, the cameras also support HD video recording in MP4 format along with other features like HDR, Photo Timer etc.
Last but not the least, the connectivity options on the smartphone apart from 3G as stated above are GPRS/Edge, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, GPS, FM radio, and Micro-USB. The device packs a 2500mAh Li-Po battery and dimensionally measures at 143.5x71.8x8.9mm.
