Chinese smartphone maker Lenovo's Indian outlet Lenovo India has now officially confirmed that the company is looking forward to launching the Vibe X3 smartphone in India on January 27. This is quite exciting for the entire gadget industry as quite recently, the company also unveiled Lenovo Vibe K4 Note in the ongoing month.
The company had already launched two variants of the Vibe series in November 2015 for the home-country i.e., China one 32GB variant at a price of CNY 2,499 (approximately INR 26,000) and another a Youth variant of the handset at CNY 1,889 (approximately INR 19,500). However, the company is yet to confirm if it also plans to launch the 'Youth' variant in the country along with the standard Vibe X3 model.
Under the hood, it features a hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM. It is available in both the 32GB and the 64GB variants both supporting expansion up to 128GB in storage capacity. It sports a 21-megapixel camera on the rear end with Sony IMX230 sensor alongside LED flash, PDAF (phase detection autofocus), and 4K video recording support and on the front-side, it features an 8-megapixel camera.
It is a well-known fact that Lenovo is now the official owner of Motorola and both the firms have confirmed the re-branding of the Motorola lineup under the moniker Moto by Lenovo. Now, the firms also add that the Vibe brand will cater to the demands of budget-friendly users while the Moto brand will be a tough competition for the high-end gadgets.
The Lenovo Vibe X3 is a dual-SIM variant that is powered by a large 3600mAh battery and features a 5.5-inch display with a protection layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 3 over the top. The fact of it being a dual-SIM allows the user to use two SIM cards or a single SIM card in case the user makes use of a MicroSD card. The presence of fingerprint sensor below the rear panel makes it stand apart from the rest of the smartphones. Additionally, it also supports 4G LTE connectivity in addition to the standard connectivity options.
