Lephone, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer launched its brand new W2 budget smartphone with 4G VoLTE support in India with a price tag of Rs 3,999. The new offering by Lephone is already available via all offline retailers across the country in Black, Golden, Rose Gold, and White + Gold colour variants.
Vinod Pandit, Business Head at Lephone Technology, while commenting on the launch said, “Lephone is leveraging a platform with an affordable yet power packed device, as it offers the flexibility to address users' increasingly varied demands. Lephone W2 offers all the latest specifications and is arguably the best model in its class in the market.”
In term of specifications, the Android smartphone flaunts a 4.5-inch FWVGA display with a resolution of 480x854 pixels and runs company's 360 OS based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. It is powered by an unspecified quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz paired with 1GB RAM and 8GB of inbuilt memory space, which can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD card.
The optical part of the Dual-SIM smartphone includes a 2-megapixel rear camera along with a VGA front camera for video calls and shooting selfies. Moreover, the GSM handset also comes with 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth, USB, Wi-Fi, GPS/ A-GPS, and FM radio as connectivity options on board.
The company, in its press release said, “This model offers not just a wide variety of emojis and symbols to enhance text communication, but also 22 Indian regional languages including Hindi, Assamese, Punjabi, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Tamil, Nepali, Bodo, Telugu, Urdu, Sindhi, Oriya, Sanskrit, Kashmiri, Dogri, Maithili, Santhali, Konkani, and Manipuri.”
