The fourth launch has placed the mark in the market with Letv featuring its new smartphone called Le 1s. The first market marked by the launch is China. The device is priced at CNY 1,099 (approximately Rs. 11,250). The earlier launch of the company figured a 120-inch uMax Super TV, priced at CNY 499,900 (approximately Rs. 51,00,000).
With 300,000 units of Le 1s to go up for sale initially, the company has marked its online store alongside other online channels in China to avail the product. At the launch, the company claimed that the bill of material cost for the Letv Le 1s smartphone was more than the company's selling price. Letv on Tuesday at an event in Beijing also claimed that the all-metal unibody of the Le 1s required 24 precise steps starting from a solid block of aluminum, and added it sports a screw-less design. According to the company, the device features aircraft grade aluminum.
The smartphone sports 5.5-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) ISP display. It is powered by a 2.2GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio X10 processor. Running Android 5.0 Lollipop based EUI 5.5 UI, the device supports a reversible USB Type-C with fast-charging SpeedVolt technology that can offer 3.5 hours of playback on a charge of just 5 minutes. It is coupled up with 3GB RAM and housed by 32GB of inbuilt storage. It supports dual-SIM (Micro + Nano-SIM).
The device packs 3000mAh battery along with accelerometer, ambient light sensor, magnetometer, and proximity sensors. It measures 151.1x74.2x7.5mm and weighs 169 grams and includes connectivity options like Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, Micro-USB, 3G and 4G LTE. On the snapper’s edge, the handset sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and phase-detection autofocus (PDAF), with a 5-megapixel front-facing camera as well on board. The highlight of the handset is its fingerprint scanner at the back, just below the primary camera.
