Looks like the smartphone companies especially Google is in the mood of giving its buyers surprises every now and then. Recently Google's LG-made Nexus 5X went on sale and just few days after we see that it has received a huge price cut. Initially Amazon India who happens to be the official online partner of Google and LG to sell Nexus 5X sold the 16GB variant at INR 31,990 but now after the price cut its selling it at a price of INR 24,990.The new price cut means people who buy the Nexus 5X would now save INR 7,000 compared to what people paid for the phone after its launch. The 32GB version of the Nexus 5X also went through this cost cutting scheme as its now selling for a price of around INR 31,500 on Amazon India.
The Huawei-made Nexus 6P aka the bigger and possibly better Nexus seems to remain unaffected by this cost-cutting since it still continues to be sold at its original launch price that starts at INR 39,999. When developers tested the Nexus 5X they discovered that its an amazing phone but also said that its price was higher than expected though after the price cut, the phone now offers better value for money.
On the specs front Nexus 5X comes with a 5.2-inch screen with 1080p resolution powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor, 2GB RAM and comes in two variants -- 16GB and 32GB. The phone runs on Google's Android Marshmallow and holds one of the best cameras ever put in a smartphone as tested by the developers.Even though the Nexus 5X is a particularly noteworthy phone, it is hard not to feel that Google and its partners have botched up the phone's launch since now the 32GB variant is debuted at a higher than expected price. Apart from the price issue there has also been no clarity on the availability of its accessories.
The phone has also been listed on Google's Play store but the stock is yet to reach there and same is the case with its accessories like the USB C-to-USB 2.0 cable, offical covers etc since none of these are yet available on the Playstore which is actually worrisome for its users.
