LG Signature Edition (2018) Launched in South-Korea

LG, the South- Korean giant has expanded its signature series by launching LG Signature Edition (2018) in South- Korea. It is a successor of last year Signature Edition that was launched in December in the previous year.

The latest variant of LG Signature Edition (2018) features dual rear cameras, sleek design and premium specifications as well. The company is offering Bang & Olufsen (B & O) Beoplay H9i headphones for free on the purchase of LG Signature Edition 2018.

LG Signature Edition (2018) Design

The LG Signature Edition (2018) has shiny metallic borders around the edges and comes with a Zirconium Ceramic back which reduces the chances of scratches and also enhance durability.

The smartphone features a bezel-less screen from the top and bottom edges and the fingerprint scanner is positioned on the rear panel. On the rear side, we can see that the dual cameras are placed horizontally followed by an LED flash.

A 3.5mm headphone jack can be placed on the top side, while the volume buttons are placed on the left side of the smartphone. This year Signature Edition brings a similar design as last year Signature Edition.

LG Signature Edition (2018) Price and Availability

The LG Signature Edition 2018 comes with a price tag of KRW 1,999,800 (approximately Rs Rs. 1,23,000). Interested users can pre-orders the smartphone starting from today (30th July).

The deliveries of the smartphone will start from 13th August in South- Korea. The actual retail price of Bang & Olufsen Beoplay H9i headphones is KRW 700,000 (roughly Rs. 43,000) that are bundled with the smartphone for free.

LG Signature Edition (2018) Specifications

LG Signature Edition (2018) bears a 6-inch QHD+ OLED display which offers a screen resolution of 2880x1440 pixels, 18:9 aspect ratio, HDR10 and 538ppi pixels density. On the top, it has a Corning Gorilla Glass which protects the smartphone from damaging and scratching.

It runs on top of the line Android 8.0 Oreo skinned with company-owned LG UX. In terms of hardware, it gets an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC coupled with Adreno 630 GPU. It is bundled with 6GB RAM and 256GB onboard storage that can be further extended up to 2TB by using a microSD card.

In terms of lens, the LG Signature Edition (2018) gets a dual rear camera set up which consists of two 16-megapixel sensors. One of the sensors come with an aperture rate of f/1.6 and 71-degree wide-angle lens, while the secondary sensor has the capability of f/1.9 aperture and 107-degree super-wide-angle lens.

For selfies and video calling, the smartphone has an 8-megapixel selfie camera with an aperture of f/1.9 and 80-degree wide-angle lens.

It is armed with a 3300mAh battery bundled with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 technology and wireless charging. Connectivity options on the smartphone are 4G VoLTE, 3.5mm audio jack, Bluetooth 5 LE, GPS, NFC, USB Type-C, and Wi-Fi 802.11 ac.

It measures 151.7x75.4x7.3mm and weighs 157 grams. It is certified with an IP68 rating which protects the smartphone from water and dust particles. It supports Hi-Fi Quad DAC and DTS: X 3D Surround Sound.
