Amidst the launching of several Android smartphones from various other makers, the South Korean brand LG's Indian subsidiary LG India has quietly introduced the Stylus 2 smartphone in India. The smartphone has been priced at INR 19,500, and post-launch, the smartphone is now listed on the company's India website. Though the users still got to wait a little more to get their hands on the gadget as it is expected that the handset will be made available in the markets soon.
One must recall that the LG Stylus 2 smartphone was previously launched by the South Korean tech giant just ahead of MWC 2016 trade show and later went on sale in the company's home country itself and at that time the GSM-based handset was priced at KRW 396,000 (roughly Rs. 22,000).

LG at the time of Stylus 2 launch had claimed that the handset's stylus bears a nano-coated tip for better accuracy in comparison to the previously launched LG G4 stylus featuring a rubber-tipped pen. Apart from having a nano-coated tip, the LG Stylus 2 comes with some additional features too like Pen Pop, which shows a popup menu when the stylus is removed and further offers shortcuts such as Pop Memo and Pop Scanner. Another notable feature of the Stylus 2 is the Pen Keeper, which notifies users when the stylus bay is empty.
In terms of display specifications, the LG Stylus 2 features a 5.7-inch In-Cell display that gives a screen resolution of 720x1280 pixels. Under the hood, the Dual-SIM smartphone is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon processor clubbed with 2GB of RAM. The handset offers 16GB of inbuilt storage capacity and also supports microSD card expansion (with no information about the maximum available capacity). In terms of camera specs, the smartphone sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with CMOS sensor, that comes coupled with an 8-megapixel front camera.
The Android 6.0 Marshmallow-based LG Stylus 2 device runs on LG UI 5.0 and the biggest highlight of the Stylus 2 smartphone is that it provides support to both the 4G LTE service as well as voice over LTE (VoLTE). Official lists state that the handset supports the two LTE bands in India - FDD 1800MHz (Band 3) and TDD 2300MHz (Band 40). The device further comes equipped with a 3000mAh removable battery and supports 3G and 2G connectivity options. Some of the other connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, and Micro-USB. the device dimensionally measures 155x79.6x7.4mm and carries a weight of 145 grams. The device is listed on the official website in two color shades namely Brown and Titan.
