In December 2018, Meizu launched Meizu 16th for the public. The smartphone features the latest in-display fingerprint sensor and 2018s Snapdragon 845 chipset. Now, the company is all set to launch a new variant of Meizu 16th and has associated with Astell & Kern to offer the customers some accessories with the new variant.
The new variant of the latest flagship is named as the Meizu 16th Plus Hi-Fi Edition smartphone. It will be launched with the price sticker of RMB 4,598 (approx Rs 48,287) with the colour option of Aurora Blue gradient. So we can say that, with this price sticker, the new variant becomes the most expensive smartphone under the Meizu brand.
The company associated with Astell & Kern which will offer accessories to the customers who will purchase the Meizu 16th Hi-Fi Edition. The accessories included with the new variant are an Astell & Kern XB10 decoder and Astell & Kern Billie Jean headphones.
Jerry Harvey Audio developed the Astell & Kern Billie Jean headphones. The company has patented the Freqphase technology which is used in the headphones. The Freqphase technology is the technology which allows all the frequencies to reach the eardrum at one time. The wires of the headphones are wrapped in Kevlar material for longer durability. The earphones have the silver-plated copper core for improving the music experience.

The Astell & Kern XB10 decoder comes in a circular shape and weighs 23gms only. The XB10 decoder features an inbuilt digital to analog converter (DAC) and amp. The decoder supports dual-band 2.5mm and 3.5mm balanced output and 3.5mm unbalanced output respectively. Because of its inbuilt battery unit, the decoder can run for 5 hours. Till now, the company has not disclosed the official sale date for the decoder.
The Meizu 16th smartphone features a 6-inch SUPER AMOLED display with a 1080 x 2160 pixels of screen resolution and aspect ratio of 18:9. It also offers a 402 ppi of pixel density. The smartphone is powered with an octa-core Snapdragon 845 chipset which is mated with Adreno 630 GPU. the device packs 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage which cannot be expanded.
In terms of the optics, the Meizu 16th smartphone at the back has a dual camera with 12 megapixel of primary lens and 20 megapixels of the secondary sensor for depth sensing. At the front, the smartphone sports a 20-megapixel camera for selfies and video calling. The device packs a 3010mAh battery.
