After the unveiling of Micromax Bharat 5 Infinity Edition and Micromax Bharat 4 Diwali Edition, now Micromax gets ready to join the race of other smartphone manufacturers, as the domestic company is all set to unveil its first display notch smartphone in India on December 18, 2018. The Micromax has started teasing about its new development on social media platforms as well as the company send the invites to press media about the launch of the new device. Once a while, the Micromax was a famous Indian smartphone provider, but from the last few years, the company had launched a limited number of smartphones.
As per the teaser invite that has been shared by the company, the unnamed Micromax device will come with an iPhone X like display notch. We can see in the teaser invite that the smartphone has a cut-out display on the top bezel which we have initially seen on the iPhone X that was launched in the previous year. However, water drop- shaped display notch commonly found in the recently launched smartphones.

A tweet has been posted by the Micromax on December 13, 2018, wherein the company has revealed about its first display notch smartphone. The tweet is captioned as with, “AboveTheRest hashtag to suggest that the new model could deliver competitive performance. There is also an image that shows a glimpse of the display notch and carries a tagline that reads, "Does the powerful excite you?"
As of now, the Micromax has not revealed the price and specifications of the upcoming Micromax notch display smartphone. Looking to the marketing material and teasers, it seems that the Indian manufacturer company is readying to take re-entry again in the smartphone segment as the company has been influenced by several Chinese smartphone manufacturers such as Oppo, Vivo and Xiaomi.
Bharat 5 Infinity Edition and Bharat 4 Diwali Edition were unveiled by the Micromax in late October during Diwali season. Both of the recently launched Micromax smartphones run on Android Oreo (Go edition). The Bharat 5 Infinity Edition from Micromax was launched at a price tag of Rs. 5,899 that came with 18:9 Full Vision and Face Unlock Feature while the Bharat 4 Diwali Edition came with a 5-inch display at an affordable price of Rs. 4,249.
