Micromax, the indigenous mobile making company, has launched the refurbished version of its Canvas 2 smartphone in India. The revamped version has been named as the Micromax Canvas 2 (2017), and this Micromax smartphone has been launched in association with the Airtel India. The Airtel is providing one year of 4G data (capped at 1GB per day) and unlimited free calling to any mobile network on the purchase of the latest Canvas 2 (2017) mobile. The handset ahs been priced at Rs. 11,999 and will be made available at all major retail stores from May 17th in Champagne and Black colors.
It must be noted that the buyer of Canvas 2 (2017) will additionally get a pre-bundled Airtel 4G SIM card with the handset. The most notable feature on this latest Micromax smartphone is the Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection and is being claimed to be the first smartphone to offer Gorilla Glass 5 at this price tag. Micromax has cleared the air by stating that the company ahs join hands with Corning to make this possible. In a statement, Micromax elaborates on the improved drop performance and resistance to screen damage that this implementation brings, "Sporting a 2.5D Cover Glass with Corning Gorilla Glass 5, the Canvas 2 gives up to 4 times better performance in drop failure height than other glasses. Equipped with improved drop performance and better retained strength, the device also offers a high standard of optical sharpness and protects against screen damage".

The dual-SIM supporting Micromax Canvas 2 (2017) operates on Android 7.0 Nougat and has a 5-inch HD (720x1280) display. The device has been empowered with the 1.3GHz quad-core processor coupled along with 3GB of RAM. This latest Micromax mobile in India comes with 16GB internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 64GB via microSD card. On the camera front, the mobile has a 13-megapixel rear camera with flash and comes with features including Bokeh, Panorama, and HDR. On the front, it comes with a 5-megapixel camera for selfies that has wide angle lens, f/2.0 aperture, autofocus, and a 5P lens.
This new Canvas 2 (2017) offers 4G VoLTE connectivity along with the Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, and GPS. The mobile has been powered by a huge 3050mAh battery. It must also be noted that the Micromax is offering a '1-year screen replacement warranty' with the Canvas 2 (2017), which is applicable from the date of activation of the handset.
