Micromax, the biggest smartphone manufacturing domestic company has unveiled a new 4G LTE enabled smartphone in India. The handset is dubbed as Canvas Express 4G and will go on sale via Flipkart at a price tag of Rs. 6,599.
The home grown smartphone manufacturing company has made its collaboration with Airtel to offer a ‘Double Data’ to its 3G and 4G consumers.
The Indian company is trying to push forward for developing the 4G LTE enabled smartphones in the Indian markets. Earlier in September the company has announced the Canvas Blaze 4G, Canvas fire 4G, Canvas Play 4G. Now, this time company is launching its Canvas Express, with the highlighting feature of Cat.4 LTE, which is said to support the downloading speed of up to 150Mbps.
At the specification side, the smartphone is said to feature a 5-inch HD IPS display with resolution of 720*1280 pixels. On the software front, the dual SIM enabled smartphone runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system out of the box. It is powered by a 1GHz quad core MediaTek MT6735 processor and is coupled with 2GB of RAM.
For the photography, the smartphone is loaded with 8 megapixel rear autofocus camera with LED flash, while there is a secondary camera of 2 megapixel front facing fixed focus camera on the board. Micromax Canvas Express 4G bears an 8GB of internal storage, which is further expandable up to 32GB via microSD card.
On the connectivity front, the smartphone includes 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB, and Bluetooth options, apart from 4G. It is backed by 2000mAh battery.
