After being in the rumors from last few weeks, the Lenovo owned Motorola has finally unveiled two smartphones in its Moto E series dubbed as Moto E5 and Moto E5 Plus at launch event conducted in New Delhi on 10th July 2018 (today).
Moto E5 and E5 Plus have been priced at Rs 9,999 and Rs 11,999 respectively. Both Moto E5 and E5 Plus have been priced at Rs 9,999 and Rs 11,999 respectively. Both of the smartphones were initially showcased on 19th April 2018 in Brazil.
Moto E5 Plus will be available for purchase at Amazon exclusively and the sale will commence from tonight that means 11th July at 12:00 am IST. On another hand, Moto E5 will be available for purchase on Moto Hub or Motorola offline stores.

Users who buy the Moto gadget from Motohub or Motorola offline stores will get vouchers of Rs 1,200 on payment made via Paytm Mall. On another hand, Moto E5 which is a step-down version of Moto 5 Plus is bundled with Jio offer and Paytm Mall.
Moto E5 Plus comes with a 6-inch IPS display along with commonly found 18:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, it is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB onboard storage and supports up to 128GB by using a microSD card.
The key highlighting feature of Moto E5 Plus is that it is equipped with a larger 5,000mAh battery, which is able to generate 1.5-day backup along with a single time charge setup. The battery is attached along with a 15W TurboPower charger which is able to deliver back-up of up to six hours with only 15-minutes charging.
It runs on top of the line Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box. The smartphone is resisted with splash coating which protects the E5 Plus from water and any other liquid forms.
In terms of photography, the Moto E5 Plus has 12MP rear camera offering autofocus, aperture of f/2.0, phase-detection autofocus (PDAF), and LED flash. For selfies and video calling, the smartphone gets an 8MP front-facing camera with an aperture of f/2.2.
The connectivity options in the E5 Plus are 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2 LE, the usual sensor array, 3.5mm earphone jack, and Micro-USB port. The company has launched the budget segment E5 Plus in four color options: Black, Mineral Blue, Flash Gray, and Fine Gold. It weighs 200 grams and measures 161.9x75.3x9.35mm.
Moto E5 which is a younger sibling of Moto E5 Plus features a 5.7-inch HD+ display with same 18:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, it is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 SoC clocks at 1.4GHz coupled with 2GB RAM ad the same 32GB onboard storage which can be extended up to 128GB by using a microSD card.
The battery back in Moto E5 is 4000mAh bundled with a 10W rapid charger. In terms of optics, the Moto E5 packs a 13MP rear and 5MP front-facing camera for capturing selfies and video calling. It will be available in two color options: Flash Gray and Fine Gold. It is available in both single as well as dual- sim variants.
The Moto E5 has 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2 LE, NFC (is available in single SIM variant only), the usual sensors, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The dimensions of the smartphone are 154.4x72.2x8.95mm and weight is 174 grams.
