Alongside the launch of Motorola’s flagship series Droid Turbo 2, it has also unveiled Droid Maxx 2 on Tuesday event. The smartphone has various bigger siblings that comes with top lined specifications. Motorola Droid Maxx 2 has a mid-range segment budget with mediocre specification list. Both the smartphones are launched to place a new mark on the Motorola’s high market.
The smartphone features 5.5-inch display. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 octa-core SoC clocked at 1.7GHz and Adreno 405 GPU. The device is further coupled with 2GB of RAM and comes hooded with 16GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 128GB using a microSD card. The backed up storage is high in the mediocre market phone, also it is supposed to feature a high camera quality too, for the selfie lovers as well as for other shooters.
At the snapper’s edge, the device integrates 21MP rear camera consisting dual-LED flash with f/2.0 aperture and Phase Detect Auto-Focus (PDAF) capability. The selfie lovers have 5MP wide-lens front-facing camera. It is backed up by a battery storage of 3630mAh, which is rated to deliver up to 48 hours under mixed use on a single charge. The device comes with a water repellent coating, but it is not a waterproof handset by birth.
With the mid-range market to be eyed by the device, it has availability only on Verizon. No other availability sectors are traversed, but it is planning to soon launch the creation worldwide. The smartphone is right now available in United States at a price point of $384 (roughly Rs. 25,000) with off-contract starting later this month.
The device is single SIM supportive with connectivity options to explore includes 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, CDMA, and other standard options. It has two color variants as Black with Deep Sea Blue Back and White with Winter White Back. On the software side, it runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop with several apps pre-installed from Verizon.
