New Redmi Note 3 to Unveil in India on March 3

Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi has finally confirmed in a forum post that it will be unveiling Redmi Note 3 next month in India with speculated date being March 3, 2016. The company will launch the product at an event to be held at Talkatora Stadium, New Delhi, which will be open for the fans as well.

The smartphone first got unveiled for the Chinese buyers in three color variants Dark Grey, Champagne Gold, and Silver colours and at a price tag of CNY 999 (approx. INR 10,000) and, it is expected that even Indian market would be seeing the smartphone at the same price. It sports a metallic design and also packs a fingerprint scanner at the back, just like the original Redmi Note 3 launched in China.

Apart from all the standard spec options that come along with the original smartphone, the highlighting feature of this new Redmi Note 3 is that it packs a hexacore Snapdragon 650 processor out of which four cores are clocked at 1.2GHz while the other two are clocked at 1.8GHz.Alongside, it sports a 5.5-inch full-HD IPS display that offers a resolution of 1080x1920 pixels and 178-degree viewing angle.

The new Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 operates on MIUI 7 OS with a layering of Android Lollipop over the top and also includes support for 4G SIM cards. The handset gets powered by a 4000mAh battery that includes support for fast charging allowing the smartphone to charge up to 50 percent in 1 hour. In terms of camera, it sports a 16-megapixel rear camera with phase detection autofocus (PDAF) and two-tone flash and on the front side, it bears a 5-megapixel camera. Dimensionally, it measures 150x76x8.65mm and carries a weight of 164 grams. It's standard connectivity options include 4G LTE (compatible with Indian LTE bands), Bluetooth, 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, GPS, Glonass, Wi-Fi, and Micro-USB.

The company has decided to unveil the product in two different spec combinations - one having 2GB of RAM and 16GB of inbuilt storage, and its counterpart that offers 3GB of RAM and 32GB of inbuilt storage. However, the company has not yet revealed any information as to what will be the price rate of the 3GB/ 32GB variant.
