New Smartphones Launched During Diwali: Oppo RX17 Pro, RX17 Neo, Vivo X21s and Samsung W2019 Flip Phone

During the festive season, new smartphones such as Oppo RX17 Pro and RX17 Neo have been launched particularly in the Europe market. On another hand, the Vivo X21s was silently unveiled in the China market. All three smartphones have an under-display fingerprint scanner, water-drop display notch, bezel-less display and more. All of them look like premium smartphones in terms of appearance and features. It must be noted that the Oppo RX17 Pro and RX17 Neo are the rebranded European variants of the Oppo R17 Pro and Oppo R17 Neo that previously unveiled in the China market.

Apart from Oppo and Vivo, Samsung W2019 flip phone has been listed on the Samsung China website.

Oppo RX17 Pro, RX17 Neo Vivo X21s and Samsung W2019 Flip Phone Price

The RX17 Pro costs 599 Euros for the single 6 GB RAM and 128 GB internal storage variant. The RX17 Neo has been priced at 349 Euros for the single 4 GB RAM and 128 GB storage variant. The Vivo X21s comes with a price tag of CNY 2,498 (approximately Rs 26,100) for the single 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage variant.

It is being speculated that the Samsung W2019 flip phone will be available at CNY 10,000 which roughly translates to Rs 104,182. To get to know the official price of W2019 we have to wait for the Samsung’s official announcement.

RX17 Pro and RX17 Neo Highlighting Specifications

The RX17 Pro and RX17 Neo have a metal and glass unibody design which is the USP of the flagship Oppo and Realme smartphones. The RX17 Pro has been launched in Emerald Green and Radiant Mist color options, whereas the RX17 Neo is to be made available in Mocha Red and Astral Blue.

The Oppo RX17 Pro has a larger 6.4-inch FHD+ display, 19:9 aspect ratio, Corning’s Gorilla Glass 6 on the top, Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor, 6 GB RAM, 128 GB internal storage and more.

The RX17 Pro runs on Android 8.1 Oreo OS based on ColorOS 5.2 which dual- sim card slots and both supports (Nano).
The Oppo RX17 Pro comes with a triple lens on the rear panel which is the key highlighting feature of the device. On the back side, there is a 12 MP camera featuring an aperture of f/1.5-2.4 variable and OIS which is identical to the Galaxy S9, 20 MP secondary camera with an aperture of f/1.6 and a third Time of Flight (TOF) 3D sensing camera that essentially takes in-depth information for 3D-effect photos. For selfies and video calling, the RX17 Pro has 25 MP front-facing camera with an aperture lens of f/2.0 and AI features.

The RX17 Pro supports dual SIM 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth v5.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, GPS, NFC and a Type-C port as connectivity options. The device has a battery backup of 3,700 mAh which allows users to charge the 40 percent battery of the device only in 10 minutes, claims the company. It has been bundled with Super VOOC Flash Charge technology. It measures 157.6x74.6x7.9mm.

Now moving to the Oppo RX17 Neo, it features a 6.4-inch FHD+ display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC, 4 GB RAM, 128 internal storage and runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with Oppo’s ColorOS 5. The RX17 Neo looks similar to the Oppo F9 Pro in terms of appearance which features a plastic and glass unibody design.

On the back side, the RX17 Neo has dual cameras consisting of a 16MP primary sensor and a 2MP secondary sensor with an aperture of f/1.7 and f/2.4 respectively. Up front, the smartphone has a 25 MP selfie snapper.
The connectivity options of RX17 Neo are similar to the RX17 Neo, except for Micro USB port instead of Type-C port. It is powered by a 3,600 mAh battery. The dimensions of the RX17 Neo are 158.3x75.5x7.4 mm and weight is 156 grams.

Vivo X21s Specifications

Vivo X21s features a 6.41-inch full-HD+ Super AMOLED display, 19.5:9 aspect ratio, 91.2 percent screen-to-body ratio and 1080x2340 screen resolution. Inside the device, there is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC coupled with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. For storing content, it supports data up to 256GB via microSD card. The Vivo X21s looks similar to the Vivo V11 Pro in terms of specifications and design that was already launched in India on September 6, 2018.

For photography, the Vivo X21s comes with a vertically stacked dual camera on the rear panel consisting of a 12MP primary camera and 5MP secondary camera equipped with autofocus and monochrome flash features. Up front, the device has a 24.8MP selfie camera with facial unlock and AR support. Under the hood, it is powered by a 3,400mAh battery.

The Vivo X21s has been equipped with 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, GLONASS, a Micro-USB port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack as connectivity options. It comes with an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, electronic compass, gyroscope, and proximity sensor. The dimensions and weight of the device are 157.91x75.08x7.9mm and 156 grams respectively.

Samsung W2019 Flip Phone Specifications

The Samsung W2019 Flip Phone comes with dual displays on both the front and rear panel which is the USP of the device. On the front side, the smartphone has a display screen which reveals notifications and inside the flip of the device has a hardware numeric keypad along with navigation keys. Both of the sides of the device feature a 4.2 screen size, with 16:9 aspect ratio and 1080×1920 screen resolution. Under the hood, the W2019 Flip Phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor. For storing data, Samsung has offered 6GB of RAM and 128GB/ 256GB internal storage that can be further extended by using a microSD card.

The new W2019 Flip Phone has dual cameras on the rear panel which is similar to Samsung’s Galaxy S9+. On the rear panel, the device has a 12MP primary sensor variable aperture camera (ranging from f/1.5 to f/2.4) equipped with a wide-angle lens and a 12MP secondary sensor along with telephoto lens an aperture f/2.4. On the front, it has a 8MP selfie snapper with an aperture lens of f/2.0.
The new W2019 Flip phone is armed with a 3,070mAh battery that can be charged with a USB Type-C connector. It ships with Android 8.1 Oreo OS layered with the company owned UI.

The new smartphone has been equipped with a dedicated Bixby button similar to other Samsung flagship smartphones. Samsung has offered a side-mounted fingerprint sensor on W2019 flip phone. The device has been created with anodized, diamond-cut aluminum and glass panel. It measures 132.9 x 63.4 x 17.3mm. It is available in two color variants including Rose Gold and Platinum.
