To retain the position in the feature phone, HMD Global has launched a new feature phone, dubbed as Nokia 106 (2018) which will be the successor of Nokia 106 that was initially launched globally in August 2013. Nokia has been famous to offer feature phone across the globe as their feature phone created with strong material that runs for a long period of time. The new Nokia 106 (2018) has been developed with a tough polycarbonate material features "inherent colouring" that comes with only Dark Grey colour. The new device comes with a contoured design which provides a more ergonomic look to the new Nokia 106 as compared to its predecessor.
The company claims that the newly launched Nokia feature phone can deliver up 21 days of standby time and up to 10 hours of talk time on a single charge. One must note that the new Nokia 106 (2018) is now unveiled globally including India.
The smartphone is now on sale through both online and offline channels. It is available for Rs 1,415 via Flipkart and is priced at Rs 1,478 through Amazon India. The phone has been launched in Dark Grey colour which is available for purchase in Russia and India.
To recall the predecessor of Nokia 106 (2018) was launched in India earlier in 2013 at a price tag of Rs. 1,399. It was unveiled in Black, Red, and White colour variants.
The new Nokia 6 (2018) has been bundled with try-and-buy games namely Nitro Racing, Danger Dash, Tetris, and more. The most popular Snake Xenzia game is also available in a new feature phone. The users can save up to 2,000 (phone numbers/ contact numbers) as well as 500 text messages, claims company.

The Nokia 106 (2018) has a 1.8-inch QQVGA TFT display which offers the screen resolution of 160x128 pixels. Inside, it has a MediaTek MT6261D chipset paired with 4MB of RAM and 4MB of internal storage.
The users can charge the phone via Micro-USB port and it also has a 3.5mm headphone jack. It has been equipped with FM radio and an LED flashlight. The new Nokia 106 (2018) is armed with an 800mAh battery which could deliver a standby time of 21 days and its dimensions are 111.15 x 49.5 x 14.4 mm.
Talking about the original Nokia 106, the featured phone packed a 1.8-inch QVGA display with 160 x 128 pixels resolution. Powered by an 800mAh battery, which offers up to 10 hours of talk and up to 840 hours of standby time. The device can store up to 500 contacts. It offers the regular apps such as FM radio, digital clock, calculator, flashlight, calendar, speaking clock, alarm clock, and reminder. It is equipped with a 3.5mm audio jack as well. The price of original Nokia 106 was kept at Rs 1,399 in India.
