As expected, HMD Global has launched a trio of smartphones which includes Nokia 6 (2018), Nokia 7 Plus and Nokia 8 Sirocco in India. The specifications of these smartphones not surprising us as they previously unveiled at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018 which was conducted in Barcelona in late February. Apart from the trio of smartphones, Nokia 1 Android Oreo Go Edition launched by the company on 27th March in India and Nokia 8110 4G feature phone is about to unveil in the Indian market sooner.
Nokia, HMD Global was firstly showcased the Nokia 7 Plus at MWC this year in February and later in April the company launched the Nokia 7 Plus and Nokia 6 2018 in India. Both, Nokia 7 Plus as well as Nokia 6 2018 comes with a dual- SIM slot support, but out of them only one sim slot supports 4G VoLTE and the other did not support. At last, many of the users had complained to Juho Sarvikas, Chief Product Officer at HMD Global regarding the problems they had faced. In May 2018 security update the company has announced officially that the Nokia 7 Plus will start to receive 4G VoLTE connectivity in the second sim soon, but the same update comes for Nokia 6 (2018) which is quite surprising for all of us.
It has confirmed that the Nokia 7 Plus and the Nokia 6 2018 users can now utilize the 4G VoLTE connectivity on both SIM card slots. In India, Nokia 7 Plus and Nokia 6 (2018) users with the model number TA-1046 and TA-1089 respectively will get the software update in the coming days.
Nokia 6 (2018) launched in India at a price tag of Rs 16,999 which will be available for purchase from 6th of April 2018 at all Nokia retail outlets and other leading stores throughout the country.
The Nokia 6 (2018) is identical to previously launched Nokia 6 in terms of design, excluding the fingerprint is now shifted to the rear panel of the smartphone. The smartphone boasts a similar a 5.5-inch full-HD IPS LCD display which is similar to last year Nokia 6. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 SoC. It is available in two storage options:3GB of RAM+32GB Internal storage and 4GB of RAM+64 GB internal storage. The storage capacity can be further extended up to 128GB via memory card.
For photography, the smartphone has a single camera on both rear and front sides. It comes with a 16 MP rear camera and an 8 MP front-facing camera for making video calls and capturing selfies.

In terms of connectivity options, the smartphone has a 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, FM radio, GPS/ A-GPS, USB Type-C (v2.0), and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It is fueled by a 3000mAh battery which is rated to deliver a maximum talk-time of 16 hours and standby time of 507 hours.
Nokia 7 Plus launched in India at a price tag of Rs 25,999 and the pre-bookings of the smartphone will start from April 20 at Nokia retail outlets and Amazon India. It is the first smartphone being offered by Nokia that features an 18:9 aspect ratio display. It is embedded with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC with Adreno 512 GPU and an octa-core CPU. Nokia 7 Plus brings a 6.0-inch IPS LCD screen with the resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels. The smartphone comes with 18:9 aspect ratio display that means it offers a Full-Screen Display and protected with the Corning Gorilla Glass on the top. The smartphone is equipped with 64GB internal storage that can be further expanded up to 256 GB via memory card. The Nokia 7 Plus supports Hybrid sim- slot. The RAM capacity of new Nokia 7 Plus has been reduced from 6GB to 4GB. The smartphone runs on Android 8.0 OS.
For photography, Nokia 7 Plus is said to feature a dual rear camera setup which comprises a combination of 12 MP sensors with an aperture of f/1.75 and a 13MP telephoto camera sensor with an aperture of f/2.6, 1-micron pixels, and 2x optical zoom. The dual rear camera setup is equipped with dual- tone LED flash and Zeiss optics. For the selfie snapper, the smartphone sport a 16MP front-facing camera with an aperture of f/2.0, 1-micron pixels, and Zeiss optics.

In terms of connectivity options, the smartphone offers 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, USB Type-C (2.0), and a 3.5mm audio jack. Sensors on the smartphone are an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, digital compass, gyroscope, proximity sensor, and a rear-facing fingerprint sensor. It is fueled by a 3800mAh battery along with fast charging support which is rated to provide a talk time of 19 hours and standby time of 723 hours.
The Nokia 8 Sirocco has been priced at Rs 49,999 and the pre-bookings of the smartphone will start from 20th April 2018. It boasts a 5.5-inch QHD OLED display with the resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels and protected with 3D Corning Gorilla Glass 5. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC coupled with 6GB of LPDDR 4X RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. Nokia 8 Sirocco does not support memory card.
The Nokia 8 is equipped with a dual rear camera setup which includes a 12 MP primary camera with an aperture of f/1.7 and a 13 MP secondary offering a telephoto lens and aperture of f/2.6 aperture. The dual rear camera is equipped with dual-tone flash. An optical image stabilization (OIS) is missing on the smartphone which helps to take impressive photos during the low-light conditions we noticed that during the review of Nokia 8. For the selfie snapper, the smartphone sport a 5-megapixel front-facing camera offering a f/2.0 aperture, a fixed focus lens, 1.4-micron pixels. It is fueled by a 3,260 mAh battery along with fast charging support.
