Nokia 6 Android Smartphone Launched Ahead of MWC

The most awaited smartphone brand of 2017, Nokia, has finally made its debut on Android platform by unveiling its first Android-powered handset dubbed as Nokia 6 in the smartphone market. The device was unveiled on this Sunday by HMD Global ahead of its rumored MWC, 2017 arrival.

The company instead of any celebration or launching event has launched its first Android-based GSM handset via its official website. As per as further specifications of Nokia 6 are concerned, it packs a 5.5-inch full-HD display along with 2.5D Gorilla Glass protection and runs the latest Android 7.0 Nougat. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of inbuilt memory space, which can be extended up to 128GB via microSD card.

In terms of optics, the Dual-SIM handset features a 16-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, phase detection autofocus, and dual-tone LED flash mounted in it. An 8-megapixel front shooter with f/2.0 aperture is also provided by the company for selfie enthusiasts. Backing up the handset is a powerful 3000mAh battery, which is capable of keeping your handset awake all day long.

Furthermore, the device also packs Dolby Atmos technology and ‘Dual amplifiers’ for louder music facility. Connectivity options of the device include GPS, Bluetooth, 3G and 4G and sensor part on the board include Compass, Magnetometer, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope, and Ambient light sensor.

The Nokia 6 has been introduced exclusively in China, so, the Nokia lovers in India should have to wait a bit a the company has not made any statement referring to the availability of the device in India. Apart from that, the Nokia 6 Android smartphone is available in the Chinese smartphone market with a price tag of CNY 1699 (Rs 16,750 approx).
