The launching of refurbished Nokia 3310 feature phone reignited hopes for the dying category in the global market, and according to some reports, the Nokia-licensee HMD Global is now planning to introduce a new feature phone in upcoming months.
Recently, a new Nokia-branded feature phone with model number TA-1017 has been spotted at the Chinese regulatory site TENAA. The spotted handset is blessed with a very basic design language, which may suppose to be admired by its durability. You can see a camera and speaker grill at the rear side of it, and most part of the front is covered by physical buttons along with a small display screen.
Considering the listings shown at TENAA, the handset will not come with 3G support, still, we can expect the availability of a more expensive variant, which will offer that support. The upcoming feature phone is believed to run S30+UI and the availability of dual-SIM support is still a mystery. Moreover, the company has not revealed any word on the pricing and availability details of the upcoming feature phone. As a recall, HMD Global introduced, the Nokia 150 and Nokia 150 Dual SIM feature phones back in December 2016 ahead of its first Android smartphone Nokia 6 launched in January 2017.
Till now, the company has introduced the Nokia 6, Nokia 3, Nokia 5, and Nokia 3310 (2017) smartphones in many countries, along with India launching of the Android smartphones in the starting of this month. Furthermore, the company is also planning to unveil more devices in the global market ahead in this year.
