Nokia P1 Tipped to Feature Snapdragon 835 Processor and 6GB RAM

HMD-Global owned Nokia started this year with the launch of its first Android smartphone in the market named as Nokia 6. The handset performed very well in the market and even all the units were sold out under a minute in China. Meanwhile, the company has planned to unveil its next Nokia P1 smartphone at MWC 2017. The upcoming handset by the company is also supposed to be the flagship model of Nokia.

Recently, a video based on the leaked specifications has also been made, still, the company has not revealed any details regarding it. The recent video leak presents a handset with a lot of cool features, which undoubtedly make it a flagship handset, which will compete with the Google Pixel and the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S8. Let us have a look on the rumored features of the upcoming Nokia P1.

The Android smartphone is likely to be available in two storage variants including a 128GB and a 256GB model. The 128GB variant is expected to be priced at USD 800 (Rs 54,500 approx), while the 256GB variant is tipped to be available around USD 950 (Rs 64,700 approx). The handset is highly rumored to be launched at the company’s event on 26 February at MWC 2017. Considering the previously launched Nokia 6, the Nokia P1 is also said to be a China-only gadget, and rest of the countries shall have to wait a bit for it.

According to the rendered video, the Dual-SIM smartphone will be blessed with a premium design along with a metal frame, making it a high-end smartphone. The power and volume keys are placed at right edge of the handset and the hybrid dual-SIM slot will be seen at the left edge of it. A USB Type-C port, speaker grill and a 3.5mm audio jack are embedded at the bottom of the handset and the rear side will feature a Carl Zeiss lens and vertical Nokia logo. The home button remains at its usual location along with a fingerprint sensor. The device is likely to be available in Silver, Black, and Rose Gold colour variants.

Coming next to the specifications, the Nokia P1 GSM handset is likely to feature a 5.3-inch FHD or QHD display along with Gorilla Glass 5 protection and will run Android 7.0 Nougat. Powering the handset is said to be the latest Snapdragon 835 SoC paired with 6GB of RAM. However, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S8 is reportedly going to be the first device to be powered by the latest Qualcomm processor, which makes a question mark on Nokia P1 MWC launch.

Apart from this, the handset is also said to be blessed with a Zeiss-certified 22.6-megapixel rear camera and IP57-certification, which makes it water and dust resistant. It will be backed up by a 3500mAh battery and will likely to come with fast charging facility.
