As expected, the much- anticipated Nubia Red Magic Gaming Smartphone has been finally launched in India. To recall, initially, it was launched in China this year. As the name implies, the smartphone is particularly designed for gaming enthusiasts and has an ergonomic design along with RGB strip. It has been equipped with the company owned tuning software, titled as GameBoost that claims to render better performance when you are playing games on smartphones. The Red Magic from Nubia comes with 18:9 aspect ratio and 8GB of RAM. Nubia, ZTE-based Corporation, has partnered with Amazon India for selling the Red Magic smartphone in India.
It must be noted that the Red Magic will be the first gaming smartphone being offered by Nubia in the Indian market. The key highlighting feature of Red Magic is its air-cooling technology that protects the device from overheating while you are playing games on the device for long hours. It comes with thermal dissipation along with gaming mode that helps to enhance the performance of the device.
In India, the Nubia Red Magic costs Rs. 29,999 for the single 8GB RAM/ 128GB storage model. It will be available for purchase from December 20 at 12 AM IST exclusively on Amazon India.
The Nubia Red Magic has been specifically designed for gamers and comes with a dual air convection cooling system that has been developed with three cooling ports, additional layers of graphite, and topped with a convex-styled back. It is touted to manage the internal temperature while playing resource-intensive games.
The Red Magic from Nubia comes with a 16.8 million color RGB LED panel and developed with an aviation-grade aluminium alloy material that has a diamond-cut surface and ‘vector aesthetics’.

The Red Magic flaunts a 5.99 -inch full-HD+ LTPS TFT display with the screen resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels and 85 percent screen-to-body ratio. For the security purpose, the smartphone gets 2.5D NEG T2X-1 glass panel on the front side.
The Red Magic is powered by a traditional Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC (four cores clocked at 1.9GHz and four cores clocked at 2.36GHz) rather than latest Snapdragon 845. In India, it has been launched in 8GB of RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.1 inbuilt storage.
Nubia Red Magic has been equipped with a dedicated gaming button which allows the users to activate gaming mode. Through this, the users can deactivate the incoming calls, messages, as well as other notifications while playing the game on the smartphone.
In terms of optics, the Nubia Red Magic has a single 24-megapixel rear camera with features such as SOCELL image sensor, an aperture lens of f/1.7 and a 6-piece motor driven lens. Up front, there is an 8- megapixel sensor for selfies and video calling that offers BSI sensor, an aperture lens of f/2.0 76-degree wide-angle lens, a 3-piece lens.
The Nubia Red Magic packs a larger 3,800 mAh battery bundled with NeoPower 3.0 technology as well as Nubia fast charging capabilities The key highlights of Nubia Red Magic are a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, a single loudspeaker, and a DTS Audio Audio support. In terms of connectivity options, the Red Magic game-centric smartphone comes with 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac (dual-band, 2.4GHz and 5GHz), Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Sensors on the device include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, magnetometer, and proximity sensor.
