The company has finally launched the OnePlus 7 along with OnePlus 7 Pro. The launch took place at the events in London, New York, and Bengaluru. The OnePlus 7 has come as an affordable phone with top-spec and the design is just unbeatable. The smartphone comes with a full-HD+ display along with a teardrop notch which houses the front camera same like OnePlus 6T. The smartphone comes with maximum 8GB of RAM and gets the power from the Snapdragon 855 SoC as well as uses the UFS 3.0 2-lane storage.
The company has priced the 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal memory OnePlus 7 at INR 32,999 while the 8GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage variant costs INR 37,999. The 6GB RAM variant will come only in Mirror Grey color and the 8GB RAM variant will come in two color options which includes Mirror Grey and Red.
The Red color variant will only be rolled out in India and China. The company has only said that the OnePlus 7 will go on sale in June in India and did not mention the exact date.
The OnePlus 7 will come with launch offers including the benefit of INR 9,300 from Reliance Jio.
The OnePlus 7 flaunts a 6.41-inch full-HD+ Optic AMOLED display with a screen resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels, an aspect ratio of 19.5:9, a pixel density of 402ppi, and also support for sRGB and DCI-P3 colour gamuts. The smartphone comes with the Reading Mode and Night Mode features same like the previous generation. The display gets the protection from the Corning Gorilla Glass 6.

The smartphone gets the power from the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC, mated with the Adreno 640 GPU and up to 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM. A RAM Boost feature is also there on the smartphone same like the OnePlus 7 Pro and the OnePlus 6T.
In terms of the optics, the OnePlus 7 comes with dual camera setup at the back featuring a primary 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 sensor camera, with 1.6-micron pixels (4-in-1), an f/1.7 aperture, electronic image stabilisation (EIS), optical image stabilisation (OIS), and phase detection autofocus (PDAF). While a 5-megapixel is the secondary sensor with an f/2.4 aperture and 1.12-micron pixels. The rear camera setup also contains a dual-LED flash module.
In terms of the recording, the smartphone has to capability to record 4K video at up to 60fps, 1080p video at up to 240fps, and 720p video at up to 480fps, and the last two comes with the Super Slow Motion modes. The company has also added features like Portrait, Nightscape, UltraShot, AI Scene Detection, Pro Mode, HDR, Panorama, Time-Lapse, Studio Lighting, and RAW Image.
At the front, the OnePlus 7 comes with 16-megapixel Sony IMX471 sensor which is housed in the teardrop notch with an f/2.0 aperture, 1-micron pixels, and EIS. The smartphone comes with the features- HDR, Face Retouching, Screen Flash, and Time-Lapse.
The OnePlus 7 comes with two storage variants- 128GB and 256GB UFS 3.0 2-lane storage which is claimed by the company that it is the first latest faster storage standard across the world.
The OnePlus 7 runs on the latest Android 9.0 Pie which is based on OxygenOS along with the features like native Screen Recording and a Zen Mode which is claimed to be used till 20 minutes but will only allow the use of the camera and emergency calls. The OnePlus 7 gets fueled up by the 3,700mAh battery, along with 20W (5V/ 4A) fast charging same as the OnePlus 6T.
In terms of the connectivity options, the OnePlus 7 comes with Wi-Fi 802.11ac, G VoLTE, NFC, GPS/ A-GPS, Bluetooth v5.0, and a USB Type-C (v3.1 Gen 1) port which doubles the headphone port. The smartphone includes an under-display fingerprint scanner for security which is claimed to be faster than the previous generation and uses a 3-element lens and a larger sensor, along with using new algorithm. The dual-SIM smartphone measures 157.7 x 74.8 x 8.2mm and weighs 182 grams. The company has also added Gorilla Glass 6 at the back panel same like the front panel.
In terms of the sensors, the smartphone includes an ambient light sensor, accelerometer, magnetometer, gyroscope, and a proximity sensor. Unlike OnePlus 7 Pro, the OnePlus 7 comes with a linear motor. The smartphone also comes with the noise cancellation support, dual stereo speakers (on the top and bottom of the phone), and Dolby Atmos support features along with the iconic Alert Slider.
