Recent Leak Suggest HTC Desire Sporting 5.99-inch along with 18:9 LCD display

It was anticipated that Taiwanese - based smartphone manufacturing company, HTC planning to unveil the mid-range smartphone with the name tag HTC Desire 12 Plus at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018 which was conducted in Barcelona. But due to some reasons company had not unveiled the smartphone and now the company has extended the launch date. The recent leaks have suggested the specifications regarding the upcoming smartphone.

The recent leaks suggested that the Desire 12 will come with a thin-bezels and a larger display and a more powerful sibling in the form of Desire 12 plus.

According to the report of Android Headlines, it is anticipated that both Desire 12 and Desire 12 plus could come with an 18:9 aspect ratio display similar to other companies are offering in the latest smartphones. The Desire 12 Plus now will boast a 5.99-inch 18:9 LCD display along with a screen resolution of 1440 x 720 pixels. It is expected that Desire 12 Plus will measure a 158.2 x 76.5 x 8.4 dimensions and weighs about 155 grams.

In terms of internal specifications, it is expected that Desire 12 will be powered by a MediaTek chipset whereas the Desire 12 plus will feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage and the storage capacity is similar on the regular Desire 12 variant. The Desire 12 plus is said to feature a 2,965 mAh battery along with the support of fast charging and will be equipped with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0.

In terms of camera specifications, the Desire 12 plus will sport a 13-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera, which will be an updated version found seen on non- Plus variant.

It is anticipated that the HTC is planning to unveil the Desire 12 and Desire 12 Plus variants in the second quarter of this year. So far, there is no information regarding the price availability of the upcoming smartphone but the HTC will have to set the affordable price of Desire 12 and Desire 12 Plus to compete with Chinese smartphone manufacturing company.
