The year 2018 has almost finished and Xiaomi development has not stopped its development work in terms of launching new smartphones in the market. Through 2018, Xiaomi had launched various smartphones including Poco F1, Redmi Note 6 Pro, Redmi 6 Pro, Mi A2 and more. Xiaomi has started working on the new smartphone, likely to be dubbed as Redmi 2 Pro which is expected to be unveiled sometime in January 2019.
A new poster of the upcoming Xiaomi smartphone has surfaced on Weibo, popular Chinese microblogging website which clearly shows that the smartphone will come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 chipset. However, the poster has not revealed much information regarding the upcoming Xiaomi device. Assuming that the Redmi 2 Pro could be the first device in the market that is to be equipped with Snapdragon 675 which has been introduced by Qualcomm in October.

The Redmi 2 Pro will be the successor of Xiaomi Redmi Pro that was introduced earlier in 2016. The Redmi 2 Pro is likely to come with a 48 MP camera sensor. Earlier this month Lin Bin, the President of Xiaomi had teased about unnamed Xiaomi smartphone featuring a 48-megapixel camera sensor.
Bin also announced that the unnamed device is all set to launch in January 2019. Looking into consideration and rumoured information regarding the Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 chipset and 48MP camera, it is assuming that it may be the same smartphone.
If the information is turned out to be true then we have to wait for the next month for the official unveiling of the smartphone. In between, the company will launch other smartphones, Xiaomi Mi Play that has been surfacing on the internet from last few weeks.
