Xiaomi, the Chinese smartphone has unveiled new smartphone in its Redmi 6 series, dubbed as Redmi 6 Pro at an event held in China on 24th June. Redmi 6 Pro is the first affordable smartphone offering from Xiaomi that comes with 19:9 aspect ratio and featuring a notch on the top similar to Apple iPhone X.
Redmi 6 Pro has been the matter of subject in the month and a few days ago the Chinese company had launched Redmi 6 and Redmi 6A in China which are the successors of previously launched Redmi 5 and Redmi 5A.

The key highlighting feature of Redmi 6 Pro that rear camera set up has AI-powered feature offering face detection mode which automatically adjusts the settings and allows the user to capture better photos. The smartphone offers AI unlock feature which unlock the smartphone by using facial expressions.
The Redmi 6 Pro base variant 3GB RAM+32GB internal storage has been priced at CNY 999 (roughly Rs. 10,400), whereas the 4GB RAM+ 32GB internal storage is retailing at CNY 1,199 (approximately Rs. 12,500). The top 4GB RAM+64GB internal storage is available at CNY 1,299 (approximately Rs. 13,600).
The first flash sale of Redmi 6 Pro will open on 26th June at 10 AM CST, however, the registration for the first sale is going on. The company is offering the smartphone in four color options: Black, Blue, Gold, Pink, and Red.
Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro features a 5.84-inch full-HD+ display, 19:9 aspect ratio, screen resolution of 1080x2280 pixels and an 84-percent NTSC color gamut. In terms of hardware, the smartphone has an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC integrated with Adreno 506 GPU clocked at 2GHz.
It is equipped with 3GB/4GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB internal storage which can be further extended up to 256GB by using a memory card. It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo skinned with MIUI 9 OS.
In terms of photography, the Redmi 6 Pro comes with dual rear cameras consisting of 12-megapixel primary camera with features such as 1.25-micron pixels, an aperture of f/2.2, Phase-detection autofocus (PDAF), LED flash and 5-megapixel secondary camera. For the front, the smartphone gets 5-megapixel selfie shooter along with AI Portrait mode and HDR. The Redmi 6 Pro has battery back up of 4000 mAh to remain active in the competitive market.
The Redmi 6 Pro comes with 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n (dual-band 2.4GHz, 5GHz), Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB, and a 3.5mm headphone jack as connectivity options. Sensors on the smartphone are an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, digital compass, gyroscope, infrared, and a proximity sensor. The dimensions and weight of the smartphone are 149.33x71.68x8.75mm and 178 grams respectively.
However, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer company has not announced an official date when the smartphone will be launched in India but it is expected that will unveil soon within two months. It seems that the company would unveil all three smartphones, Redmi 6, Redmi 6A and Redmi 6 Pro at the same day in India.
