Samsung Galaxy A9 Quad Camera Smartphone Unveiled in India

After the unveiling in the Malaysia market, the Galaxy A9 2018 now made its way to the Indian market. Now, Samsung the South- Korean giant has been officially unveiling the most highlighted phone of the year, dubbed as Galaxy A9 in India on November 20, 2018. The launch event is scheduled to take place in Gurugram at 12:30 PM IST. To recall, the new Galaxy A9 was initially unveiled in Malaysia in the previous month as it is the world’s first Galaxy smartphone that comes with quad- cameras on the rear side.

At the launch event in Gurugram, Samsung has unveiled the price of Galaxy A9 that costs Rs 36,990 for base 6GB RAM model, while 8GB RAM comes with a price tag of Rs. 39,990. In India, it has been launched in Bubblegum Pink, Caviar Black, and Lemonade Blue color options. It will go on sale from November 28 at several online platforms namely Airtel Store, Amazon, Flipkart, Paytm Mall, and Samsung Shop.

Apart from online platforms, it will also be available at offline retail channels. The pre- booking of Galaxy A9 2018 starting from today (20 November 2018). HDFC Bank Debit or Credit card holders will avail cashback of Rs 3,000 on the purchase of Galaxy A9.

Samsung Galaxy A9 Specs

The new Quad- camera phone from Samsung features a glass unibody design that offers compact looks to the device. The Samsung Galaxy A9 has an HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity display with 18.5:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, the Galaxy A9 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset coupled with Adreno 512 GPU. The phone ships with the company’s owned Experience skinned with 9.0 Android Oreo.

In Malaysia, Galaxy A9 (2018) was launched in 6GB/8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. However, it has to be seen which of the storage models Samsung would unveil in the Indian market. The Galaxy A9 quad camera is armed with a 3800mAh battery with the support of fast charging technology

Galaxy A9 is the first smartphone from Samsung that comes with quad cameras on the back panel. The camera set up has been positioned vertically on the rear side that includes a 24MP primary sensor offering an aperture lens of f/1.7, a 10MP telephoto offering 2X optical zoom and an aperture lens of f/2.4, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor with 120-degree lens and an aperture of f/2.4 and lastly a 5MP sensor for depth of field with an aperture lens of f/2.2. For selfies and video calling, there is a 24MP front-facing camera offering an aperture of f/2.0.
