South Korean Corporation, Samsung has unveiled its Note 5 in the Indian market. The Smartphone has been made available in two different variants i.e. 32GB and 64GB models at a premium pricing of Rs.53,900 and 59,900 respectively. But the device does not contain any expandable memory comptibility. It is the fifth iteration in its famous Galaxy Note series and was announced along with the Galaxy S6 edge+ in New York, previous month.
The Samsung is going to start the sale of Note 5 in India from September 20 along with its newly launched Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 edge and S6edge+.
Samsung also declared that Galaxy Note 5 was designed and implemented by the R&D team in India. Functions of the smartphone like Live Video Broadcast, Video Collage and Video Highlight were created by the Indian team. The Note 5 features a fingerprint scanner and will be available in Black Sapphire, Gold Platinum and Silver Titanium color variants.
Moving towards its specification the Galaxy Note features a 5.7-inch Quad HD Super Amoled display with 2560*1440 pixel resolution and a pixel density of 518ppi. It is powered by an Octa- core Exynos processor coupled with 4GB of RAM. The device runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.
In terms of its camera section, it is clubbed with 16MP rear camera along with OIS sensor and 5MP front facing snapper. The Note 5 comes with a longer, nice S pen with improved pressure sensitivity and writing performance, compared to the earlier Note models of Samsung.
In terms of connectivity, the device includes Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct, hotspot, GPS, Bluetooth 4.2 and support for NFC. The device is packed up with a non-removable battery of 3000mAH and supports a wireless charging and quick charging technology which completes the package.
