Samsung has unveiled its most awaited smartphone in the country as a part of giving an expansion to its On series. The new product has been dubbed Samsung Galaxy On Nxt which was initially expected to launch exclusively on Thursday 8pm at Flipkart, but somehow it couldn’t happen the way everyone expected. The handset was yesterday listed on the company’s official website first, before getting aligned on Flipkart.
The Android smartphone comes with a similar design language to its sibling Galaxy On 7, which was launched in China last month. It is blessed with a full metal design language with a 5.5-inch full-HD IPS display, which is protected by 2.5D Gorilla Glass. It packs 32GB of inbuilt space, which can be further expanded up to 256GB via microSD card.
The GSM-based smartphone is powered by an octa-core SoC clocked at 1.6GHz coupled with 3GB of RAM. Concerning the optical part, the Dual-SIM handset features a 13-megapixel rear camera with f/1.9 aperture and LED flash, which is capable of recording full-HD videos. an 8-megapixel front shooter with f/1.9 aperture is also provided by the company for shooting selfies.
Connectivity part of the device includes Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, WiFi Direct and Wi-Fi 802.11. It lacks NFC, but a fingerprint sensor is embedded by the company at home button. The smartphone is backed up by a 3300mAh battery, which according to the company can deliver up to 15 hours of Internet usage on LTE and up to 21 hours of 3G talk time.
The Samsung Galaxy On Nxt has been listed on both, the company’s official website and on the leading e-commerce portal Flipkart priced at Rs 18,490. But still, people have to wait a bit, as there is no word on the availability details of the handset by the company.
