Samsung, South- Korean giant made the official announcement that the company has started working on new ‘Galaxy R’ and ‘Galaxy P’ series of smartphones in China to compete with domestic manufacturers.
Additionally, the company is also planning to stop manufacture the new smartphones in its existing J series. A fresh information comes from the China which reveals that first smartphone under the Galaxy \'P\' series is likely to be dubbed as Samsung Galaxy P1 could come with under- display fingerprint scanner.

Furthermore, the new Samsung Galaxy \'P\' series of smartphones are expected to be bundled with the company\'s owned GPUs.
MMDJ_ tipster has posted on its twitter account regarding the upcoming Galaxy P series smartphones. The first smartphone under the Galaxy P series is expected to be called with Samsung Galaxy P1 and these smartphones would be available in the mid-price range segment. Currently, the tipster has not revealed anything about the Galaxy R- series smartphone.
It is speculated that the Galaxy P series could be powered by an Exynos chipset. Furthermore, the Galaxy P series could come with dual cameras on the rear panel which has been trending in the mid-range category smartphone.
One must note that the aforementioned specifications are a pinch of salt, however, the company has not officially revealed the key highlights of the Galaxy P series and Galaxy R series smartphones.
A tipster also stated that Samsung is likely to use under- display fingerprint scanner in its upcoming Galaxy P series for the China market but more specifications of Galaxy P and Galaxy R series is not available at the moment.
The tipster also said that the two tweets have been posted by the company back to back which pointing towards that it\'s not a gimmick and this would be the biggest achievement for the company.
