Samsung has dropped the costs of its flagship smartphones in India, particularly, the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge. The two handsets have gotten price cuts of Rs. 5,000 each from their launch prices in India. The value drops of the Samsung Galaxy S7 and Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge were initially tipped by a built up Mumbai-based retailer.
The Samsung Galaxy S7 will now be available at Rs. 43,400 in India, while the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge will be priced Rs. 50,900. Both costs are alluding to the 32GB variations of the smartphones in the nation, which were dispatched at the MRP of Rs. 48,900 and Rs. 56,900 respectively. To recall, Samsung had launched its two flagship smartphones at MWC 2016 and brought them to India a month later in only their 32GB variants.

It is being said that the Samsung may have dropped the costs of the smartphones to boost their demand ahead of the availability of its flagship phablet in India, the Samsung Galaxy Note 7. Dispatched in India not long ago, the Galaxy Note 7 will go on sale from September 2. Pre-booking for the smartphone started on Monday, and hence the value drop appears to demonstrate an association. Pre-booking will carry on till August 30.
