Samsung Introduced Galaxy J7 Pro, J7 Max With Pay Mini in India

Samsung, the leading South Korean smartphone manufacturer has introduced two new smartphones in its ‘J’ series at an event in New Delhi on Wednesday. The new arrivals by the company include Samsung Galaxy J7 Max and Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro which are priced at Rs 17,900 and Rs 20,900 respectively. Both the new smartphones will be available through offline retail and Samsung’s online store, in which the Samsung Galaxy J7 Max will go on sale from June 20, while the Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro will go on sale sometime in mid-July.

Interestingly, the South Korean firm has teamed up with Reliance Jio to provide 120GB of additional data to the purchasers of Galaxy J7 Pro and Galaxy J7 Max. The Pro variant of the series will be seen featuring Samsung Pay just like we’ve seen in the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+, whereas the other variant includes a new service which the company calls Samsung Pay Mini. As its name suggests, It is a lower version of the Samsung Pay that does not have in-built NFC, which means that user will not be able to use ‘tap and pay’ offline payments, still, it can be used as mobile wallets and UPI for online payments.

In term of design, both the Android smartphones feature a slim metal unibody design with no bezel on the left and right side of the display. The company has also provided a fingerprint sensor housed underneath the home button of it. The volume keys sit at the left, whereas the power button is placed at the right edge of the new smartphone.

Coming next to the specifications, the Samsung Galaxy J7 Max is blessed with a 5.7-inch full-HD display with a resolution of 1080x1920 pixels and runs the latest Android 7.0 Nougat OS. Powering the handset is a MediaTek Helio P20 octa-core processor coupled with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of inbuilt storage, which can be expanded via microSD card.

The optical part of Galaxy J7 Max GSM handset includes a 13-megapixel rear and front shooters coupled with flash and aperture of f/1.7 and f/1.9 respectively. Moreover, the company also offers a smart glow mode around the rear camera, which will work as a notification alert in the smartphone. It is backed up by a 3300mAh battery and includes LTE, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth as connectivity options. The Samsung Galaxy J7 Max is only 8.1mm thick and will be available in Black and Gold colour variants.

Next in the list is the Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro Dual-SIM smartphone, which features a 5.5-inch full-HD Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080x1920 pixels and runs Android 7.0 Nougat OS. It is powered by an Exynos 7870 octa-core SoC coupled with 3GB RAM and 64GB of inbuilt memory space, which can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD card. Backing up the handset is a 3600mAh battery and it comes with IP54 certification, which makes it a slash resisted device. It is 7.9mm this and includes dual-SIM slots, USB Type-C port, and 4G LTE as connectivity options on board. The smartphone will be available in Gold and Black colour variants.
