Samsung, the giant South Korean conglomerate, on Tuesday launched the upgraded version of its Galaxy J5 (2017) smartphone dubbed as Galaxy J5 Pro. The handset has been introduced in Thailand along with a price tag of THB 9,990 (Rs 19,000 approx). Highlighting features of the new smartphone include its metal design, fingerprint sensor, VoLTE support and OS based on the latest Android 7.0 Nougat.
Notably, the new Samsung Galaxy J5 Pro packs enhanced RAM and storage as compared to the previously launched Samsung Galaxy J5 (2017) smartphone. Rest of the specifications are same for both the smartphones. As a recall, the Samsung Galaxy J5 (2017) was launched last month coupled with 2GB RAM and 16GB of inbuilt memory space.
In term of specifications, the Android smartphone features a 5.2-inch HD Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels and runs Android 7.0 Nougat OS. It is powered by the 1.6GHz Exynos 7870 octa-core processor paired with Mali T830 GPU and 3GB RAM. The handset also comes with 32GB of inbuilt memory space, which can be expanded up to 256GB via microSD card.
The optical part of the Dual-SIM smartphone includes 13-megapixel sensors coupled with LED flash at both front and rear side. However, the rear shooter of the smartphone offers f/1.7 aperture, whereas the front shooter offers f/1.9 aperture. The GSM handset is backed up by a 3000mAh battery and includes 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, Micro USB port, fingerprint sensor and GPS as connectivity options on board.
