Samsung, on Friday, introduced its all new Galaxy On Max smartphone in India, which will be available with a price tag of Rs 16,900. The highlighting features of the new Android smartphone by the company include the availability of a 5.7-inch full-HD display, 4GB RAM, large aperture cameras, front flash, and Samsung Pay Mini support. The handset will be exclusively available via Flipkart, in two colour variants including Black and Gold, but the exact release date of the device is yet to be revealed by Samsung.
Sandeep Singh Arora, Vice President, Online Business, Samsung India, while commenting on the launch said, “Today consumers use their smartphones to capture memories. Galaxy On Max is the perfect device for this, enabling users to click brilliant photographs under all light conditions. It also offers the option of sharing pictures on-the-go with a single click. Galaxy On Max will redefine the way people click and share pictures.”
In term of specifications, The Dual-SIM smartphone features a 5.7-inch full-HD display with a resolution of 1080x1920 pixels. It is powered by an octa-core MediaTek MTK P25 SoC (with four cores clocked at 2.39GHz and four cores clocked at 1.69GHz) paired with 4GB RAM and 32GB of inbuilt memory space, which can be expanded up to 256GB via microSD card.
The optical part of the GSM handset includes 13-megapixel sensors coupled with LED flash modules at both front and rear side. The front camera sensor is paired with a f/1.9 aperture lens, whereas the rear camera sensor comes with a f/1.7 aperture lens, which has been claimed to deliver great low-light performance by the company.
The handset is backed up by a 3300mAh battery and includes 4G VoLTE, alongside Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a Micro-USB port as connectivity options on board. It weighs 178 grams, measures 156.6x78.7x8.1 mm and will soon be available in two colour variants including Black and Gold.
Additional features in the new Galaxy On Max smartphone include the availability of a fingerprint sensor housed underneath the home button, Samsung Pay Mini and a new Social Camera Mode. The Samsung Pay Mini made its debut in the country with the arrival of Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro and J7 Max smartphones, moreover, it supports UPI-based payments and integrates a mobile wallet. Talking about the new Social Camera Mode, the feature is believed to offer instant sharing options to users, which allows them to pin their favourite social media contacts for instant sharing.
