Samsung New Foldable Phone Patent Design Surfaced Online Excluding Cameras

Samsung has decided to give a tough competition to its rivals. This can be said because the company has already announced the Galaxy Fold and again a patent of the foldable phone design has been spotted. The design looks the same like the foldable phone design of Xiaomi. Xiaomi is teasing the foldable phone design from a while on Chinese Microblogging site.

The design of the foldable phone of Samsung was surfaced online and indicates that there will be folds in two places and at the back of the smartphone both the sides fold same like the foldable phone design of the Xiaomi. At the centre where two sides of the display are positioned, a bulge can be seen. And this bulge will help in keeping the folds in the place when the phone will be folded.

When the sides will be folded, then the half display will be used as front and by seeing the size of the screen, it might be considered as a foldable tablet and not as a smartphone. By seeing the online images, it can be said that the aspect ratio of the smartphone might be 4:3. But let the company decide what it will be.

Although a patent has emerged online, it is not sure whether the company will take it to the next step i.e the production stage or will halt it. If the company decides to manufacture the foldable phone then it might cut off the display size as well as the aspect ratio to make it look like the smartphone.

The most interesting thing to note from the patent design is that there are no cameras and the same thing is on the foldable phone of Xiaomi. It might be that the company has not found any appropriate place to position the camera setup and might be on the way to search the place.

As we know, the company a few days before announced the Galaxy Foldable smartphone. The foldable phone is the very first device in the world to carry the 7.3-inch Infinity Flex Display. The device turns into the compact form when folded, with a cover display. The smartphone costs $1980 i.e. around INR 1,37,200 and will be made available in four color options- Astro Blue, Cosmos Black, Martian Green, and Space Silver.
